- My name is Joshua Ormsby, and the Lord has called me to be a missionary to Italy. I grew up in a Christian home and church, but was not sure of my salvation. I could not remember being saved as a young child, and this was a serious problem! Where you will spend eternity is extremely important. Doubts about my salvation plagued me, until I decided that I could tarry no longer without settling this matter. That blessed day I made sure of my salvation in Christ alone! The Lord called me to preach at the age of 15, and the Lord impressed upon my heart a calling to the mission field the next year. At that time, I did not know where the Lord would have me, but I was willing to go anywhere for Him. Then the Lord finally showed me my mission field! After a trip to Italy, I could not get the spiritual desolation and religious depravity of this land out of my heart and my mind. After praying and searching the Scriptures, the Lord gave me peace, assurance, and a calling to the people of Italy. More specifically, I believe the Lord has called me to the town of Viareggio, on the west coast of Italy. Please pray for me as I endeavor to make my way to Italy, and to reach it for Christ!
